Working in partnership with other health-care and community service providers, the president and CEO of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH), Carmine Stumpo, has been providing strategic leadership to our hospital and its staff during one of the most challenging times in the history of health care in Ontario. With over 25 years of health-care experience (four of those at OSMH), Carmine will speak about the transformation of health care in our region to create the OSMH vision, “We Are One Community.” He spoke about program development, facilities renewal, service integration with the Couchiching Ontario Health Team, and the long-range planning needed to create a modernized OSMH. Members in attendance learned about OSMH's vision, titled, “We Are One Community.” as well as plans for a new hospital.
Our October meeting also was our Annual General Meeting.
